Thanksgiving 2021

This week included our first holiday celebration here in Cincinnati. My (Erin’s) sister Jayne made the trip from Nashville to spend Thanksgiving with us. Our day consisted of parade watching, snuggles with puppies and lots of good food. Phil’s first Thanksgiving turkey was a masterpiece! We felt so at peace getting to share full plates with family in our new, temporary home. In a season where our loved ones have stepped in to take so many things off of our metiphorical plate, we couldn't help but spend the day in gratitude. Today, we’ve reached the 28 week milestone of our pregnancy. After my amnioport install surgery, a team of neonatologists came to consult with us. In the midst of so many evolving and changing medical factors with our case, the team gave us some very encouraging perspective. They emphasized that every day Baby Boy can stay safely in the womb to continue growing is a win. Each day gives him more opportunity to develop, become stronger, become more prepared for what life after birth may look like. We continue to meditate on this concept- that each new day of growth is a reason for immense thankfulness. We have been so encouraged to see him growing and gaining weight with every passing week. As he grows in the womb, we feel we are being strengthened and fortified by the love of others. We are being prepared for what’s ahead. We are sending all our love from Cincinnati. We hope this weekend is filled with peace, relaxation, and easy time with family for you. Love, The McCalls
